Trauma Treatment

“In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or step back into safety.” – Abraham Maslow

Almost everyone will experience trauma in their life, but most will NOT develop PTSD.

Women are more likely to develop PTSD than men at a rate of 8% of the US population.

About 6% of the US population will have PTSD at some point in their life, but many people recover and no longer meet diagnostic criteria for PTSD.

Risks for developing PTSD increase in situations such as war, pandemic, illness, or assault.

“There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with.
