Frequently asked questions

  • Do you accept Insurance?

Yes, I accept insurance! I currently bill through a platform called Headway, which allows me to accept multiple insurance plans.

  • How will I know if it's a good fit?

This is why I recommend a free consult call! I want to make sure that I am the best person to help you meet your goals. Consult calls are a great way for us to ask questions and get a feel for each other.

  • How often do I need to have therapy?

I recommend weekly sessions in the first month to build rapport. From there, we can adjust as needed. My goal is to give you the tools that allow you to function and thrive without me!

  • What could therapy offer me that my friends/family couldn't?

Friends and family are wonderful supports and play a critical role in success! However, there may be times when they don't know how to help, you may not feel comfortable talking to them about a topic, or their advice might make you feel worse. Therapy offers a non-judgmental space facilitated by someone who has been trained in helping you meet whatever goals you may have.

  • What are common goals for therapy?

Common goals for therapy differ based on what you need. Some goals may include talking through difficult events, learning new coping skills, understanding what you are experiencing, and so many more!

  • Do you provide medication?

Unfortunately, I am unable to prescribe medication. If you are looking to start medication to help manage symptoms, I recommend talking to your primary care physician and/or psychiatrist.

  • Do I need a diagnosis?

Insurance requires a diagnosis for billing purposes. I choose to look at diagnoses as a way to communicate a "broad picture" to other practitioners and help guide your treatment.
