“Healing takes courage, and we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.”
Tori Amos
Depression is a mood disorder that does not discriminate based on gender, culture, race… or strength. Depression can impact every aspect of life that makes even seemingly simple tasks (e.g., showering, brushing teeth, getting dressed) difficult. The one thing that most of us get wrong is that depression is not a sign of weakness. Depression is quirky that way. It does not care how wonderful or resilient you are as an individual.
As scary as this may sound, it also means that there are ways to cope that have been researched and tested. If you experience any of the symptoms below, feel free to reach out for support as we test which skills work for you!
